Canary Wharf Photography Project
/In an effort for me to take on more Photography challenges, I've decided to create a blog that can showcase some little 'projects'.
I'd thought I'd start with a very recent project I started which was 'Canary Wharf'. I really had no excuse to not shoot this amazing location considering I am there everyday with my day job. So I took my gear to work with me and decided to shoot throughout the day and then to head out after work when it got dark.
This first shot is taken right from my desk. I am very lucky to have a view over the Thames and The O2 Arena, although it doesn't help with distraction, as I think you'll agree.
This is one of my favourite views of Canary Wharf. This is taken a short walk from my desk over looking the Tube station and One Canada Square. The lighting was really great in this shot, and really brought out the colours in the Wharf!
After work I headed outside, at which point it had gotten very dark and very cold! I headed straight for the Pop-Up Christmas Markets. On the way I came across an exit for Canary Wharf's Tube Station and thought it looked very futuristic with all the Christmas in the surrounding area.
What Christmas Market is complete without a Haribo stand! These two were digging in just as I rounded the corner and caught them filling up their bags! (I was good and didn't tuck in myself).
Spotted this women just chilling by the Boris Bikes in Canada Square (in front of the main Tube Station entrance). Loved the Bokeh in this one!
The final image of the day I thought was quite appropriate. A shot of people heading home for the day. Which was exactly where I was heading when I took this shot.
I hope you all enjoyed these images and my first blog post. I'm hoping to make this a more regular thing, and planning to take on some more mini photo projects over the coming months.
Cheers
Jack
