Freezing Vienna

Having only briefly visited Austria around 9 years ago, I felt it was time to visit the capital where fortunately I have a whole new line up of camera gear to test after recently switching full time to Fuji with the XT2.

First thing's first. Vienna is beautiful. Extremely cold at this time of year, but a very pretty city nonetheless! The coffee, cake, architecture and cleanliness of the city all add to its charm that I can only imagine increasing during the spring and summer months!

I was really excited to test out my new Fuji Gear. For those of you that are interested my 'camera bag' now consists of a Fuji XT2, Fuji XF 16mm f/1.4WR, XF 35mm f/1.4, XF 56mm f/1.2WR and the VPB-XT2 battery grip. The battery grip makes a huge difference to the feel and enjoyment you get from using the XT2 with its performance and ergonomics boost! I think I will still need some practice using the new set up after living with my Canon 5Dmk2 for the past 6 years, but hopefully that will give me more excuses to visit great places like Vienna in the future!

Check out some of my very first images taken with the new set up last week in Vienna and let me know how you feel about switching to mirrorless from a Full Frame DSLR in the comments below!
