Conrad Algarve
/I'm going to go out on a limb and start with a very bold statement.. The Conrad Algarve is the best hotel I've stayed at. That should give you some idea of how this review is going to read from this point on!
Conrad Algarve Entrance
Only a 20 min cab ride from the airport, in Almancil, the Conrad Algarve is in a great location. It is an in-land hotel, but with a free shuttle service to the beach running regularly throughout the day. However, given the quality and style of this hotel, you rarely feel the need to leave.
The Room
The Deluxe King room was clean, luxurious and beautifully designed, with a relaxing balcony decked with comfy sofas. An enormous bed, a bathroom that is accessed via a complete sliding wall consisting of a walk in shower, bathtub (plus integrated tv) and 'His & Hers' sinks all add to the class of this room!

Public Space
The Lobby is very sharp and simple and greets you with an incredible view over the infinity pool and gardens as you enter the Conrad Algarve along with bronze sculpture artwork.

The infinity pool speaks for itself and is made that little bit better with the freshly made fruit cocktails mixed each morning and brought to you with fresh towels for your sun bed to start your day of relaxation.

Food
The Lobby leads to an amazing restaurant called Louro, where incredible breakfasts are served, consisting of a buffet and a breakfast menu including steaks (yes, for breakfast) but my absolute favourite was the Caramel French Toast with Banana and Vanilla sauce (highly recommend!)! For Dinner, the menu is fantastic including Tomahawk Steaks and Piri Piri Chicken cooked to perfection with an extensive wine list (but bring your wallets, the most expensive bottle costs around EUR: 5,000)!

Even the pool food was exceptional! With Steak Sandwiches on tap!

The icing on the cake though is the Triple Michelin Star Restaurant 'Gusto' by Heinz Beck. With a fancy dress code, wine cellar, and a 7 course tasting menu all wrapped in a beautiful setting!

The Verdict?
As I said at the beginning of this review: The Conrad Algarve is possibly my favourite hotel that I've ever visited. The design, quality and service is of another level, always making you feel that you are in a very special place.
Relaxation is the name of the game, with a fully kitted out Spa (no photos allowed understandably), the quiet and well appointed public spaces and the rooms all lend themselves to a perfect relaxing break.
There is an outdoor boutique shopping mall across the street with a Waitrose style super market and a number of local restaurants to choose from should you want to venture away from the hotel for an evening, which is unlikely!
If you're lucky you may even spot a celebrity or two as this is a European favourite for the rich and famous where you regularly see Ferrari's parked out front to add to the glitz of this amazing Hotel!
I have visited this hotel twice in 2 years now, and would certainly recommend to anybody looking to add a touch of luxury to their summer holidays. I hope I will get to visit many more times in the future!
The Conrad Algarve is Jack-Approved.
